How I set my sellers up for success

Regardless of the market conditions, properly preparing a house to be listed is crucial and ensures that you are not leaving any cash on the table. Here are my favorite ways to help my sellers maximize their net profits:

  1. Cleaning: Who doesn’t love a clean house? It can seem like a simple thing but let me tell you, it’s also a magical thing. I encourage my sellers to clean as much as they can. We want folks walking into this home feeling like they could just jump on the couch and enjoy a long afternoon reading in the living room. The goal is to keep the house as clean and open as possible, as we want the buyers to easily imagine themselves in the space.

  2. Staging: Working with a design consultant to help you stage a home will fundamentally elevate your home. The best way I can describe this process is when you find a great pair of pants- it doesn’t matter what size you are- you look fabulous! And that’s what staging does, instead of asking the buyer to imagine what the space could be, you are presenting it to them in a way that’s better than most could imagine.

  3. Outreach: Once we’ve gotten the property looking the best it’s ever looked, that's where I get to do one of my favorite things in real estate- outreach. Not only are we communicating with every agent that shows the property, we’re also calling the neighborhood, we’re telling our brokerage, emailing our favorite agents that work in the area, we’re hosting open houses, and we’re letting everyone know about your incredible property. I want to be sure all stones are turned, and no questions are left unanswered about your property.

And don’t worry, I’ve got lots of referrals for any pre-listing work you are considering. Depending on your situation, we can also discuss certain areas of the home that are most important to buyers if you are doing a minor remodel. This way you can maximize not only your the value of your home, but also the money you spend on upgrades, and pre-listing prep. My goal is to make the home look SO good, you might want to buy it from yourself!
